| Q: We have never used pet sitting services before. How do services work?
A: Our pet sitting services are offered as an alternative to boarding your pets in a kennel. Because your pet sitter comes
to your home, your pets remain in the comfort of their familiar surroundings, sleep in their own beds, eat their own foods, and are surrounded by the same sights & smells as is part
of their every day routine. During visits, your pet sitter will spend time with your pets, feed and water them, play with them, clean your yard and/or litter boxes, and administer any medications as needed. Your pet sitter will also perform additional services such
as blind/light rotation, mail & newspaper pickup, water plants, or other customized task you would like performed. We believe pets fare better emotionally when staying in the comfort of their
own homes during your absence which results in a more comfortable, relaxed pet upon your return!
| Q: What services do you offer?
A: We offer vacation sittings from one to three daily visits, mid-day dog walking, overnight care, 24hr pet & house sitting, pet taxi, quick stop visits, puppy checks, and, as available, puppy, kitten, & small pet boarding.
| Q. What areas do you service?
A: We currently service the following areas of Temecula Valley: Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Sun City, French Valley, and surrounding subdivisions. To learn more about our sitters in these areas, please visit the About Us page to get to know us better! As we are contiuously expanding, please
feel free to contact us if your city or zip code is not listed.
| Q: What are your service hours?
A: Our regular service hours for pet sitting visits are from 7am to 7pm with our last visit of the night beginning at 7pm. In the event your pets require earlier or later visits outside our
regular service hours, we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability! Although we try to perform visits as closely to your pets normal routine as possible, we cannot guarantee exact visit times. If your pet sitter agrees to make a visit at a time extremely beyond our service hours or if your pet's needs necessitates it (i.e. 5am for medications), a convenience surcharge may be assessed.
| Q: How long have you been in business?
A: We have been happily serving pets since 2003!
| Q: Are you a member of any pet sitting organizations?
A: Yes! Gotta Love'Em Professional Pet Care is a proud member of Pet Sitter's International,
The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). You may learn more about these organizations or to verify membership
by clicking the link to visit their websites.
| Q: Are you licensed, bonded, & insured?
A: Yes! We are city licensed, bonded, and fully insured. Copies of our policies are available upon request at any time.
| Q. Do you have references?
A: Yes! We have many excellent references from happy current and past clients whom you may contact
for a reference at any time! Client references are available upon request - we only wish pets could talk!
| Q: What kind of pets do you provide services for?
A: We provide pet care for dogs, cats, birds, and small caged pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, etc. We also provide services for horses
some domestic farm animals. Please inquire if your pet type is not listed.
| Q. Are there any types of pets you cannot service?
A: Due to safety reasons, we cannot provide care for aggressive pets or pets who have a history of aggression or biting. We also cannot provide
services for pet snakes as we have trouble feeding one live pet to another! The only exception to this is if your snake has been fed prior to your departure and will not need feeding until your return.
| Q. Who will be providing the care for our pets? |
A: Your pets will be cared for by the pet sitter whom you meet at your initial consultation. If you are new, you will be referred to the sitter whom is closest to your location or has the availability for the dates you need. You may also specifically request any pet sitter you've seen on our website or have used in the past and we will try to accomodate that request. More often than not, you will have the same sitter every time, unless you specifically ask for someone else. Pet sitting is a personal service and we try to keep the same pet sitter for each session, however, sometimes your regular or previous sitter may not be available. If you would like us to refer you to another Gotta Love'Em! pet sitter in their absence, you will always have the opportunity to meet the sitter before the start of services, if desired. You and your pets will always know ahead of time, and you have the final say, on who will be caring for them for each session.
| Q. Do you come meet our pets before the start of services?
A: Absolutely! We feel this is an important step! Prior to the start of services, your sitter will arrange a convenient time and date to come by and meet you and your pets. These
free initial "meet & greet" consultations allow everyone to get to know each other better, an opportunity to show your pet sitter where supplies such as food is kept, go over
client forms, and acquire keys, and address any questions and concerns you may have.
| Q. Do our pets need to be current on their vaccinations?
A: In order to provide pet sitting services, we require dogs and cats to be current on their rabies vaccination. Written proof of such will be requested and must be on file prior to the first
day of service. Although we recommend that your pets be current on other vaccinations for health reasons, we do
not require them for pet sitting services.
| Q. Our pets are on medication. Are you able to give these to our pet?
A: Many of our pet sitters have a background in veterinary medicine and/or have been Pet First Aid certified or trained, and are comfortable and experienced with administering medications. If your pets will require medication during pet sitting, please make sure to leave detailed instructions on dosages to be given.
Medications are included as part of our service.
| Q. Will you take my dog on a walk during pet sitting?
A: Yes! Taking your dog out walking is an included part of our service during pet sitting! Your dog must be generally controllable on a leash
and must not show any signs of aggression towards people or other dogs we may encounter while on our outings. For safety reasons, and to adhere to the leash laws, your dog must
be walked on a leash.
| Q. Do you offer dog walking services alone?
A: Yes, we offer mid-day dog walking aside from vacation pet sitting. You have the option
of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5x week dog walking to suit your dogs' needs! Mid-day dogs walks are your choice of 30, 45, or 60 minute walks around your neighborhood to allow your
dogs to get some exercise, sniff around, relieve him/herself, and have some fun!
| Q. Do you offer boarding services?
A: Some sitters offer private boarding services for dogs, cats, and small caged pets which will be cared for in the pet sitter's private home. Please be advised that we do not have a kennel facility and care is provided cage-free. For health reasons, dogs and cats will be required to have their vaccinations as it is likely he/she will be exposed to the pet sitter's own pets, if any. Boarding is offered in select areas and on an as available basis.
| Q. How long are your visits?
A: Our regular pet sitting visits range from 30-45 minutes per visit depending on your pets activity level or number of pets we are caring for at one time.
We also offer shorter visits for "pet checks" or extended visits for pets who need, or would like, longer visits. As each pets needs are different, we offer customized visit schedules. Please see our services page for more information.
| Q. How do we make a reservation?
A: To make a reservation or to check our availability, you have several options. a) call us by phone b) send us an email, or c) fill out our reservation request
form on our services page. We will check availability, confirm your dates, and your sitter will setup a consultation date & time with you if you are a new client. We will send you an estimate or invoice for services via email if you are ready to book your dates. Your reservation is complete when payment is received.
| Q. How far in advance should we book our dates?
A: We recommend making your reservations as far in advance as possible! Generally, one week is fine, however please
note that we book up sometimes months in advance for holiday periods! We service pets on a first come, first served basis. For short term notice (less than 48 hours), there
will be an additional fee.
| Q. Are there any minimum or maximum days of service that we must book?
A: There is no minimum number of days of service that you must book, however, we do not recommend pet sitting sessions that last
longer than two weeks for dogs or three weeks for cats. This is for the well being and emotional needs of your pets. Our maximum amount of care for one session is three weeks.
| Q. Who should we contact to make a reservation?
A: Reservations can be made by calling 877-LOV-PETS or emailing info@gottalovem.com. For new clients, please call or email our main office to make reservations or check availability. For returning clients, you may contact your regular sitter directly, or have the main office check availability for you. Each pet sitter's contact information is listed on our Contact page for use at any time during pet sitting sessions for quick and easy contact!
| Q. How are house key exchanges arranged?
A: If you are comfortable with your sitter, he or she will acquire house keys at your initial consultation. If you haven't made a decision at that time, you have two options for key arrangements. We offer key pickup & drop off services for each session ($5 each) or we can
keep your key on file for future pet sitting sessions at no charge. For safety reasons, we will not lock your key in your home on our final visit as this leaves us with
no way to return to continue caring for your pets in the event you are unable to make it home as planned. We may, however, leave your key with another person or neighbor if this person is on your client
forms and is pre-arranged.
| Q: How do we pay for services?
A: Payment for services is expected on or before the first day of service. We accept cash or checks, and credit card/debit payments through
PayPal online (3% fee). Established clients may leave payment inside their home to be collected by your pet sitter on the first day of service if paying by cash or check.
| Q. Our pet sitter did a great job! May we leave a tip?
A: As with any service provider, gratuities for services are not expected but if you feel you would like to include one in your payment
to your sitter, we would gladly welcome it! Thank you!
| Q. Can we get a quote for the cost of services before making a reservation?
A: Sure! We would be happy to send you a no-obligation quote for what the cost of service will be for any pet sitting session. You can do so easily by filling out our simple
Get A Quote form which is also located on our services page. We will return a quote for you as soon as possible, via email. Please note that quotes are estimated and your final
